Gulet Cruises and Budget

The most feared and heated question of all time when it comes to gulet charter is this: Please inform us about your budget range!

When we ask this question, most of the clients are really not sure if this is the best idea.

50% of the times, clients do not wish to give their budget because they have these thoughts: 

• they wish to know our budget, so they can rip us off and earn more money on us;
• I will lose my negotiations advantage if I disclose this info; 
• they would offer us lower prices if they did now know what is our budget.

In the other 50%, clients honestly do not know what is their budget. 

I will not try to convince you why it is good to give your (at least approximate budget range). I will rather explain to you how we reply to inquiries if we have a budget range, or if we do not have one. this way you will see what is better for YOU.

If we get this sort of request: Turkey charter – for 12 persons in August for 7 days. (NO BUDGET) Please give me your best deals.

In this case, we have no idea how much the clients wish to spend and we are shooting in the dark. In this case, we only have 1 option. We check our recommended gulets and availabilities, and we offer:

• 1 x Turkey charter gulet for around € 10.000 per week
• 1 x Turkey charter gulet for around € 20.000 per week
• 1 x Turkey charter gulet for around € 30.000 per week

After that, if the client says he likes the gulet which is € 10.000 for example but still does not wish to provide the budget, we have the starting point. And then we offer :

• 1 x Turkey charter gulet for € 8.000 per week
• 1 x Turkey charter gulet for € 10.000 per week
• 1 x Turkey charter gulet for € 12.000 per week

Here we already offer discounts from 5% and up to 10% maximum. These are normally standard VOLUME discounts which we receive as a good agency from our partners but we do not really have any negotiations possibilities in this case.

If we get this sort of request: Turkey charter for 12 persons in August for 7 days. We have a maximum of € 10.000 to spend including the full board. Would proffer cheaper possibilities.

Then it is a totally different story. We know exactly what is the clients limit and we will do our best to work hard for this. We will check all the gulets that might be possible and we will try to get them inside of this budget.

When we find the combination of gulets, where we know the crew, the gulet, and the owner are perfect and where we get the owner to accept this budget…we offer it to clients.

And we offer:

• 1 x gulet for € 8.000 per week
• 1 x gulet for € 9.000 per week
• 1 x gulet for € 10.000 per week

ONE MORE THING! Lots of people give us their budget, but they are not honest. For example, they have a budget of € 14.000, but the clients tell us they only have an €11.000 budget, thinking they will get the lower price because of it. This is not a very good idea. In getting a good deal, you should get more for the price you are willing to spend, and not save the money on the same standard. You are going on your holidays, to relax and have a great time…you are not buying a new kitchen for your apartment. So if you have € 14.000 to spend….spend them – and try to get the best out for this.

Giving us your budget (even if it is very approximate) really helps us to give you the best possible deal. And it is in our best interest to give you the best possible offer on the best possible gulet and make you a very happy repeated client who will be happy to tell his friends that we did a good job for you.
